POLYFOAMPU foam kit is a two-component system consisting of PART A (MDI) and PART B (Polyol). This injection/pouring grade polyurethane foam creates a seamless, monolithic barrier against water vapor and air. The kit is HCFC-blown and CFC-free, utilizing a polymeric MDI-based system to produce rigid polyurethane foam with a nominal core density of 40 kg/m³. The foam can be adjusted in reactivity to suit both cold and hot conditions.

Features and Benefits of POLYFOAM PU foam Kits:

  • POLYFOAM PU foam Kits: Closed cell foam, perfect for flotation, insulation, soundproofing, or filling voids. This pour foam is U.S. Coast Guard approved and is ideal for use in dock floats and boat parts. Also great for sculptures, carving, mold making and casting.
  •
  • POLYFOAM PU foam Kits are easy mixing and handling: 2-part liquid resin component system with a 1:1 Mix Ratio to produce the expanding polyurethane foam. Starts foaming after 45 seconds of mixing, and 7 minutes to full expansion. Build multiple layers by pouring the mix in separate batches to form strong bonds between layers.
  •
  • POLYFOAM PU foam Kits are94% Rigid Closed-Cell Foam: Once the foam is cured, it helps prevent moisture absorption and won’t be affected by solvents, oil or gas. The cured foam can be cut to any desired shape or be coated with polyester, epoxy, or vinyl ester resins.
  •
  • POLYFOAM PU foam Kits areHigh-Quality polyurethane foam: This waterproof foam sealant will have a buoyancy of approximately 300 pounds per gallon foot, and a density of 40kg/m3. This product does not contain any CFC blowing agents.
  •
  • Easy to hand mix or machine cast
  •
  • Flows well into mold cavities
  •
  • Fast Demolds
  •
  • Excellent physical properties
  •

NOTE :  Density is based off of free-rise, unrestricted samples. Typical castings in a closed mold with back pressure will increase density and reduce expansion rate. This will often require up to 1.5 to 2.5 times more foam than theoretical calculated amount of foam for a given volume and mold shape/goemetry. Also temperature of liquid foam, relative humidity, and mixing technique (hand stirred vs jiffy mix with a drill) will also affect expansion rate of foam.
